Anti-Wrinkle Injections

Botulinum Toxin is a purified protein which smooths wrinkles by temporarily relaxing facial muscles.

Injections are expertly placed precisely into specific facial muscles with the aim of giving a more youthful and refreshed appearance.

Using anti-wrinkle injections to achieve a natural look is both a skill and an art. Dr Lynda takes great care to achieve the best results for you and a thorough consultation is an essential part of the treatment.

Anti-Wrinkle Injections FAQs

Have a question? We’re here to help.

  • What areas can they be used for?

Wrinkle relaxing injections are commonly used to soften frown, forehead, and crow’s feet lines. They can also be used to slim jaw muscles, lift the jawline and neck and to control excessive armpit sweating.

  • What does the treatment involve?

Dr Lynda will assess the area to be treated and discuss with you the results that can be expected.  The skin is disinfected and marked up before injections are placed using very fine sterile needles.  Your skin may be numbed with an anaesthetic cream beforehand if you are particularly nervous about treatment, though most people find it a comfortable procedure without this.

  • How long do wrinkle relaxation injections last?

The effects begin to show between 3 and 7 days after treatment with the maximum effect at around 14 days. Many people find that regularly maintaining their treatment every 3-6 months leads to better results

  • Who is suitable?

This is a safe treatment for most people although there are a few exceptions. This treatment is not advised for you if you are pregnant or breastfeeding or if you are trying to get pregnant.

Botulinum toxin is a prescription only medication.  Treatment requires in-person consultation and review of your medical history to assess suitability for treatment.

  • How much does it cost?

Wrinkle relaxation injections start from £195.00.

Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers are gel type products composed of hyaluronic acid, a substance found naturally in the body which gives hydration and volume to the tissues.

Dermal fillers can be used to enhance features such as lips, to balance facial proportions, and to rejuvenate the ageing face in a very natural way.

There are many different brands of filler on the market. At HGface we only use premium quality, tried and tested, FDA approved dermal fillers from Teoxane® and Restylane® for the best results and for your safety.

  • What areas can they be used for?

Dermal fillers can be used anywhere from the deep jawline and chin area, the lips, nose, cheeks and temples to the more superficial layers of the skin where they may restore lost volume and improve the hydration and support for the skin.

  • What does the treatment involve?

Dr Lynda uses gentle and safe cannula techniques to place dermal fillers and most people find this treatment to be quite comfortable.

  • How long do dermal fillers last?

Results are immediate; however, the true effect of a treatment is seen typically at around 4 -6 weeks.  On average the results can last anywhere from 6-24 months and studies have shown that traces of dermal filler can remain in place for several years.

Skin Boosters

Skin Boosters are light injectable gels specially formulated for treatment of the skin. This is a hugely effective procedure that works well on its own and also combines very well with all our other aesthetic and skin care treatments. Skin Boosters will ‘moisturise’ the skin from within, improving skin health and luminosity with minimal side-effects, risk or downtime.

Redensity®1 is a mix of hyaluronic acid and a cocktail of essential amino acids, antioxidants, minerals and a vitamin. It is excellent for improving aged and sun damaged skin and supporting skin thickness.

Profhilo® is made up of a very high concentration of pure hyaluronic acid which means that it is intensely hydrating and wonderful for imparting a plumpness and glow to a dull dehydrated skin.

Skin Booster FAQs

Have a question? We’re here to help.

  • What can skinboosters be used for?

Skin boosters can be used in practically any area of the body where the skin requires help. Currently we offer this treatment for the face, neck, décolletage, and the backs of the hands.

  • What does the treatment involve?

This treatment involves the injection of a light gel type product, using an ultra-fine needle, across the areas we wish to treat.  Numbing cream can be applied to minimise discomfort.  Downtime is minimal; however, you may notice small red bumps across the skin where the product has been injected for 12-48 hours afterwards.

  • How long do skin boosters last?

You will begin to see results within a few weeks, although these are maximised after a full course of treatment.  Although results can last up to a year, we advise 1 maintenance treatment every 6 months to maintain the ‘glow’.

  • Who is suitable for skin boosters?

This is a safe treatment for most people although there are a few exceptions. This treatment is not advised for you if you are pregnant or breastfeeding or if you are trying to get pregnant.

  • How much does it cost?

Single treatment from £295.00 per area.

Course of 3 treatments from £695.00 per area

Polynucleotides - Discover the secret to firm and hydrated skin

ameela®

Plinest®

Newest®

Polynucleotides are the latest innovation in aesthetic injectables. Utilised in medicine for decades to treat wounds, ulcers, burns and scarring, these injectable gels, derived from fish DNA, belong to the realm of regenerative medicine.

Polynucleotides stimulate collagen production, enhancing skin tightness while providing and intense moisturizing and antioxidant effect. A versatile all-rounder, suitable for nearly everyone, these treatments promote a brighter, more youthful appearance.

Polynucleotides FAQs

Have a question? We’re here to help.

  • What can we treat with polynucleotides?

With the ability to address fine lines and wrinkles, tackle uneven skin tone, dark circles under the eyes, and ‘tech neck’ lines, polynucleotides are effective in many areas.

Specific issues such as superficial pigmentation, sun damage and scarring all respond well to polynucleotides.  They can also give excellent results in the treatment of under eye hollows, dark circles, and puffiness.

  • What does the treatment involve?

This treatment involves the injection of a light gel type product, using an ultra-fine needle or cannula, across the areas we wish to treat.  Numbing cream can be applied to minimise discomfort.  Downtime is minimal; however you may notice small red bumps across the skin where the product has been injected for 12-48 hours afterwards.

  • When will I see results?

Most people will see instant brightening in the area treated followed by improved skin quality within a few weeks of their first session however maximum results will be seen after 60 days following your course (we recommend three treatments.)

For some concerns such as scarring the results can be extremely long lasting if not permanent. For an improvement of texture, skin quality and collagen levels, single maintenance treatments are advised every 6-9 months.

  • How much does it cost?

Single treatment from £295.00 per area. Course of 3 treatments from £695.00 per area. Full-face course of 3 treatments  package price £1350.00

All polynucleotide procedures require an in-person consultation and review of your medical history to assess suitability for treatment.
